Nestled in the Fauntleroy neighborhood in West Seattle, a bit east of the Vashon ferry dock and Lincoln Park, you will find bel gatto bakery & trattoria.
BAKERY (8am-3pm daily)
Bel gatto fires up our nearly century-old brick lined oven early each morning to provide tasty bakery treats throughout the day. Open at 8am daily, this “handsome cat” provides a broad assortment of bombolini or more affectionally known as donuts, fresh baked pastries and savory breakfast offerings with an Italian slant.
Given the 88 years of bakery operations in this historic building, we honor that legacy by continuing to offer high quality baked goods utilizing the finest ingredients we can source. With a fully restored storefront and interior space, bel gatto provides the neighborhood with a continuation of the bakery works that this location has fostered for over 50 years.
Come lunchtime and served until 3:00pm daily, bel gatto rolls out a menu of Italian sandwiches, salads and pizza. An assortment of pizza by the slice or full pies are offered throughout the day. Set up as a counter service operation, all menu items are available packaged to go or to be enjoyed in our tiny dining room. In the mood for an afternoon getaway? We also offer a brief selection of cocktails, cattails, beer and wine for you to enjoy with an afternoon snack.

Looking for that special space for an intimate gathering of friends & family? bel gatto can answer that call in our cozy Trattoria that can be yours for an evening with a fully customizable menu for up to 25 folks for fun & frivolity with cocktails available if so desired. bel gatto is located adjacent to our sister restaurant, Endolyne Joe’s, which has proudly served the neighborhood since 2004. bel gatto offers a decidedly different assortment of food & beverages in a setting that is complementary to the family dining environment of Joe’s.
